MCD teacher shot dead outside school

New Delhi: In a shocking incident in North West Delhi's Swaroop Nagar, a primary school MCD guest teacher was shot dead by unidentified assailants outside the school on Monday evening. The victim, identified as Deepak Kumar, died on the spot. The cops have formed teams to identify and arrest the killers.
Deepak came to the school on Monday in his car and was inside the school when he got a phone call. As he walked out while talking on the phone, the assailants fired on him. He is said to have been shot multiple times. Deepak succumbed to gunshot injuries on the spot.
The 31-year-old teacher was on contract in the MCD school. The incident took place at around 4:30 in the evening. It seems that as Deepak stepped out of the school he was brutally shot. Though any eye witness could not be seen, people did reach the spiot and collected all forensic evidence.
"We have examined CCTV footage and it has come to light that the assailnsts were in Grand i10 vehicle. We have colelcted all used cartridges from the spot to get some clue of the killers. Our teams are working on the leads we have got." said DCP North West Milind Dumbere.
The initial investigation of the police revealed that Deepak joined School as guest teacher in July this year. Tough police is clueless about the motive of the murder but it seems personal enimity might be one of the reason for the gruesome murder. The police team is investigating the call records of the teacher to know who called just befoe the murder. Also, the family and friends of Deepak Kumar will also be questioned to know any possible reason for the murder.
