Max hospital case: Victims' relatives burn effigy of doctors

NEW DELHI: Agitated after the death of the twin infants, who were first wrongly declared dead at Max Hospital, parents and relatives on Thursday burnt effigies of the doctors allgedly responsible for the death declaration.

The family demanded immediate arrest of the doctors, saying that mere sacking of the doctors is unacceptable.
The baby who died on Wednesday was one among the twins delivered by a woman at the hospital in Shalimar Bagh.
While the girl was stillborn, doctors declared the boy dead a few hours later, the family said.
The family later discovered that the boy one was alive while taking the twins for burial. The incident sparked anger amongst the family, with the Delhi government initiating inquiry into the incident.
