Married woman kills self in Shahdara

The deceased has been identified as Shalu, a native of Rajasthan. She lived with her husband, Ankit, and two kids.

Police said her husband reportedly found her wife hanging with a ceiling fan when he woke up in the morning. He also told police that Sunday was their marriage anniversary. He alerted everyone about the incident. Police said they have questioned the husband as well as other family members.

In another case, a pregnant woman died mysteriously in Jwala Nagar. Cops said the reason could be high blood pressure.

When asked whether any harassment was done to the women in both cases, a senior official stated that it was the matter of investigation.

Another incident was reported from Keshavpuram area where a woman doctor allegedly committed suicide by drinking poison. No suicide note was recovered from the spot and the incident was reported on Saturday.
