Mansarovar Park Murder: Family of accused grilled

NEW DELHI: Delhi Police believe that more family members of the prime accused could be involved in the murder of four women and a security guard in Mansarovar Park area of Shahdara district.
On Thursday, two more persons were arrested by Crime Branch in the case, taking the total number of arrested persons to seven.
G Ram Gopal Naik, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime), stated that the accused were trying to flee other states when they were arrested. "They have been involved in the murder of the women and dacoity," said the DCP.
On Thursday, a police team brought all the accused persons to the Jindal family's residence, where the murder took place, and recreated the sequence of events.
Police sources told Millennium Post that family members of the prime accused are currently being continuously questioned by investigators.
Cops are grilling many relatives of the accused, including those of the deceased security guard Rakesh – who was family of the main conspirator.
"We have been investigating the case from all angles. So far, though, we have not recovered the jewellery and money. We are also checking whether they have sold jewellery. The accused had gone to Punjab and Ghaziabad, in order to avoid arrest," said police sources.
According to sources, there could be more arrests in the case, as cops have got a few leads that they are working on.
With his son and son-in-law present at his house, Rakesh had only planned a robbery at the Jindal family's house.
Investigators suspect more people were present at his house when the plan was hatched. The gruesome murder-cum-dacoity of four women of the Jindal family and their guard at their Mansarovar Park resident had taken place on the intervening night of October 6 and 7.
