Man's nose bitten off after fight over breaking traffic rule

Breaking traffic rule proved costly for a 29-year-old man when in a shocking incident his nose was literally chewed off by assailants in a violent road rage incident at Lahori Gate in North Delhi. The 29-year-old man was rushed to the hospital immediately where he is undergoing treatment.

The incident happened on Thursday night at around 9 pm when Aman was returning home after closing his shop behind Novelty cinema on the SPM Road. Aman was in traffic jam and tried to take a U-turn on the road from the wrong side. As he was moving ahead, a group of three men intercepted him. They got into verbal altercation with him initially for taking a wrong turn.

"They were not ready to listen and pulled me out of the car and started assaulting me. I tired to run but they blocked my way. One amongst them, Dheeraj, bit off my nose with his teeth and a part of my nose fell off on the road," said Aman who is undergoing surgery at a private hospital.

Aman was thrashed brutally by the three attackers who were identified as Vishal Pandey, Dheeraj and Vipin Mehra; all residents of Lahori Gate.
Aman, who was bleedng profusely, called his brother who rushed him to the hospital. Later, he was shifted to a private hospital for better treatment.

Aman runs a food colour shop behind Novelty Cinema and is a resident of Ghaziabad. He was done with his work on Thursday and was returning home after closing his shop. Aman would be undergoing plastic surgery on his nose. The biggest misery is that Aman is about to get married in a few days.

"They also threatened me of dire consequences if I lodged a police complaint," said Aman.

The cops have lodged an FIR in the case under Sections 323/341 and criminal intimidation.

"We have also added Section 325 of causing grievous hurt in the FIR. We are waiting for the medical report. Suitable action would be taken against the accused," said Deepender Patak, Special CP.
