Manjeet Mahal gangster held in 2017 murder case

New Delhi: A dreaded gangster from Manjeet Mahal gang was arrested from Nangal Dewat area of Vasant Kunj, police claimed on Wednesday. The investigating agency claimed that the accused shot thrice on the forehead of a person in 2017. The accused identified as Vishal. From his possession, one loaded country-made pistol of .315 bore and one live cartridge was recovered.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (South West) Devender Arya claimed that Vishal came in touch of Anshul Dhankar and Vikas Dalal who were sharpshooters of Manjeet Mahal Gang and they hatched a conspiracy to murder Dinesh of Nandu Gang. "On February 19, 2017 accused Vishal along with Anshul Dhankar way laid Dinesh who was riding a scooty in the area of Chhawla and shot thrice on his forehead. The accused had covered their faces with helmet in order to conceal their identity," said DCP Arya.

He further stated that at that time, CCTV footage of accused committing broad daylight murder got viral online. Accused Anshul Dhankar was arrested but accused Vishal managed to hide and changed his residence.
