Man, wife critical after road accident in S Delhi

New Delhi: A man and his wife are fighting for their lives in the hospital after they were hit by a vehicle in South Delhi's Sarojini Nagar area. The accused after hitting the victim fled the spot but he was soon arrested by the city police.
According to police, the victim was identified as Vikky (32) working in NDMC and his wife Pooja (30). On Wednesday late night around 12.55 is a PCR call was received regarding an accident in service road near new Moti Bagh gate number one. On reaching the spot it was found that driver of one car identified as Honda city has hit the two pedestrians who were walking on the service road and seriously injured them.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Chinmoy Biswal stated that offender driver left the car and fled away from the spot. Both the injured persons were admitted to the hospital by the public who were at the spot. Both of them were reported to be critical and unable to give their statement. Hence a case under sections 279/337 of IPC has been registered.Police claimed that during investigation accused driver Arjun resident of NDMC quarters in Sarojini Nagar has been arrested.
