Man who shot dead transgender at Gurugram toll plaza arrested

NEW DELHI: The main accused in a transgender murder case at Toll Plaza Gurugram has been arrested by Delhi Police on Saturday. Surender alias Pinda was on the run since the murder of Rajini on November 28. Earlier, the Gurgaon police arrested seven transgenders for their alleged involvement in the murder of Rajini who was shot dead when a group of transgenders led by her clashed with another group led by one Meenu near Kherki Daula toll plaza on Wednesday evening. The two groups clashed over the collection of money over toll plaza.

During night checking at Rohtak Road under Surajmal Stadium Metro Station Nangloi carried out by Delhi Police in Outer District, Head Constables Amit and Parveen saw one person coming towards Peeragarhi on a bike. He tried to run away on seeing the police barricades. The staff apprehended him and was identified as Surender alias Pinda, a resident of Village Chulkana, Sambhalka, District Panipat, Haryana.
