Man who killed girl in north west Delhi arrested

New Delhi: Delhi Police on Monday arrested a man who was involved in the murder of a girl in north west Delhi's Bhalswa Dairy. Police claimed that the accused Rohit was arrested from Badola in Adarsh Nagar area.

Cops are now waiting for the post-mortem report of the girl to ascertain if she was sexual assaulted.

Cops added that Rohit, a drug addict, was known to the girl's family and sometimes used to stay with them at their home in Bhalswa Dairy area.

On November 16, at around 11 am, the body of the girl was found in Swaroop Nagar Extension near Dharm-Kanta.

Police said that the girl had been reported missing from her house and her parents had, by themselves, launched a manhunt to find her, which was fruiteless.

Cops also clarified that news about the girl's face being disfigured was downright false.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (North West) Aslam Khan said that the accused is a friend of parents of the victim since last six-seven years.
