Man stabbed 10 times in North West Delhi, dies

New Delhi: A 24-year-old man was stabbed 10 times to death in North West Delhi's Netaji Subhash Place area on Tuesday. Police claimed that they suspect personal enmity behind the incident and no arrest has been made so

far.

According to Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (North-West) AK Lal, they have received a PCR call at NSP police station on Tuesday. The police team rushed to the spot and found that one Shanu, resident of MCD Colony in Azadpur, was attacked by three to four assailants.

"One of them whipped out a knife and stabbed him 9-10 times. He was rushed to hospital but he succumbed to his injuries while on way to the hospital," said AK Lal.

He further stated that the deceased has one previous criminal involvement and the motive behind the murder seems to be enmity.

"Some suspects have been identified and a hunt is on to nab them," said Additional DCP.

According to Delhi Police, enmity has resulted in 19.29 per cent of murder in the national Capital in 2018. The Delhi Police data accessed by Millennium Post claimed that till September 15, around 337 murders took place in the city and further analysis by the investigating agency revealed that in 18.69 per cent cases, the reason was a sudden provocation whereas in 5.04 per cent cases, the murder took place because of the monetary dispute.
