Man, nephew held in several murder cases

New Delhi: Delhi Police on Tuesday said that they have arrested a person and his nephew involved in several murder cases in Delhi-NCR.

Police identified the accused as Rihan (32) and Danish (24).

Deputy Commissioner of Police (North East) Atul Kumar Thakur said that on April 13, a PCR call regarding one injured Nafees being admitted in GTB Hospital in an incident, who was later declared dead, was received.

"Local intelligence was collected and technical surveillance was also done to nab them and consequently a tip-off regarding the wanted criminals was received by a team of Seelmapur police station, hence a trap was laid down near Dharmpura red light and on the instance of secret informer two criminals were nabbed," added DCP Atul Thakur.

During the course of sustained interrogation, it was revealed that the accused Rihan has jumped the Parole and his nephew Danish is also a Proclaimed Offender.

"He used to commit a crime to assist his maternal uncle Rihan," police said. Rihan has studied up to 12th standard and used to run a shop of spare parts in Gokalpuri for some time. He is a habitual offender.
