Man kills self, family claims harassment by in-laws'

NEW DELHI: A man commited suicide by hanging himself in his house in Jahangirpuri area of north west Delhi. The deceased man has been identified as Jasbeer Singh.

Singh got married in July and since then had a strained relation with his wife. His family alleged that he was often harassed by his in-laws. Singh worked in a private company.

On Tuesday, his family and relatives brought his body out on the road in Jahangirpuri and demanded action against the in-laws.

Cops had a hard time convincing his kin to vacate the road and allow normal flow of traffic. The matter was resolved only after senior police oficers reached the spot and convinced the gathering to clear road.

Meanwhile, police sources aid they are inquiring into the matter but are yet to find a suicide note.
