Man kills daughter in Nihal Vihar

New Delhi: Delhi Police on Thursday said that they have arrested a person for killing her daughter in Outer Delhi's Nihal Vihar area.

The investigating agency revealed that the accused and his wife often fought as he suspected that his wife was having an-extra marital affair. Fed up with constant fights, the couple had initially planned to end their life and send their daughter to her grandparents.

Police said on May 15 a PCR call was received in Nihal Vihar police station regarding the murder of a 4 yr old girl child by her father. The police team immediately rushed to the spot but found no one at the given address.

"On local enquiry from neighbours, it was revealed that one Malkit Singh seems to have murdered his daughter and fled from the spot with his wife and body of the girl child. Finally, the accused was found at his Tilak Nagar residence, along with his wife and body of their daughter," said DCP Outer Seju P Kuruvilla.

Police further added that on interrogation, it was revealed that Malkit Singh had a stressful relationship with his wife Simran. There used to be regular fights between them, due to which they both decided to commit suicide. However, in the intervening night of 14-15 May Malkit strangulated his 4 yr daughter Kirat.

When Simran woke up, she found something suspicious and raised alarm, on which neighbours called the Police.

20-year-old kills man over illicit affair

Delhi Police on Thursday arrested a 20-year-old youth who killed a man suspecting illicit affair with his mother in Dwarka.

=The investigating agency said that the accused had made PCR call after the murder.

"He told us to come and arrest him," said police. On Wednesday the accused had an argument with the deceased over the illicit relationship. Later he attacked the deceased with a sharp object.
