Man involved in Rohini court shootout arrested

NEW DELHI: A 30-year-old man belonging to Neeraj Bawania gang and involved in the shootout-cum-murder at Rohini court earlier this year was arrested by Rohini district police.
The accused, identified as Satish, was allegedly involved in the shootout in which rival gangster Rajesh Durmut of Neetu Dabodhia gang was murdered.
According to police, the arrest took place on September 13, after police team received a tip-off.
On interrogation, Satish revealed that he was very close to Rajeev Aasodia and after his murder he came in contact with Naveen Bali, an associate of notorious the Neeraj Bawania, and joined his gang.
He confessed to his involvement in Durmut's murder and told police that one Ajay had received instructions from Naveen Bali, lodged at Tihar Jail, through Raj Kumar to eliminate Durmut.
Later, Ajay contacted Satish and arranged other accused persons, and a conspiracy was hatched between them to eliminate Durmut.
"The accused is 30 years of age, and a resident of Jhajjar in Haryana. He had entered the world of crime after joining the Rajeev Aasodia and Kala Gang and committed several robberies, attempts to murders and other crimes. He is also convicted in several cases under Section 307 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 25 of the Arm Act, at Jhajjar police station," said Rishipal DCP (Rohini).
