Man hurls shoe at judge, arrested

New Delhi: Delhi Police on Friday arrested a person who threw a shoe on Judge in court.

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Chinmoy Biswal stated that on the statement of Lokesh Kumar Sharma, Additional Sessions Judge of Saket court, they have registered a case under Sections 186 (Obstructing public servant in discharge of public functions) and 353 (Assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty) of Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Saket Police Station.

In the statement to police Lokesh Kumar Sharma stated that accused Manoj Kumar has thrown his shoes on the dias aiming him.

Accused was the witness in a case. He was arrested soon after the incident.
