Man held with over 500 gm of cannabis in Gurugram

The crime branch of Gurugram Police has arrested a person carrying 585 grams of cannabis (ganja).

The person, identified as Sanjeev, was arrested from Sukhrali area near Sector- 18 and hailed from Bihar. He was working as a menial worker.

In its bid to stop the sale and consumption of drugs, the police have made several arrests of the people involved in the drug trade. In July, a youth, 26, died of drug overdose at Tigra village near Sector-57. After his death, the villagers protested that there has been no action by the public authorities on the open sale of drugs.
