Man held for two-yr-old murder of woman in south west Dehli

New Delhi: A 21-year-old man, who was involved in the murder of a woman in south west Delhi, was arrested by the Crime Branch of Delhi Police, officials said on Thursday.
The arrest was made near Highway at Kosi in Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh, where the accused had come to meet one of his associates.
According to police, the accused was identified as Sandeep Kumar, who was carrying a reward of Rs 25,000 and had been declared a proclaimed offender.
Police sources claimed that on April 20, 2016, one Lalit Dahiya reported to cops that while he was going to drop his wife Monika at her father's house in his Fortuner car, two persons intercepted the vehicle at main Raghopur Road, from Gurugram to Delhi, and shot Monika dead by opening fire on the vehicle.
Police said that during investigation, it came to light that Dahiya himself had given contract to the co-accused to kill his wife Monika, as he was already in love with another woman and they together hatched the plan to kill Monika.
Six accused were arrested by the the local police during investigation while accused Dinesh, Sandeep and Samsuddin were continuously on the run dodging the police several times.
All the accused persons were declared as Proclaimed Offenders by the Court and a reward of Rs 25,000 was also declared on the arrest of the accused.
Police claimed that the accused revealed that he had helped the main contract killers in procuring the weapon of offence from one Samsuddin in Mathura.
