Man held for trafficking drugs via Nepal route

New Delhi: Crime Branch of Delhi Police arrested a person who was involved in drug trafficking through Nepal route in the national Capital. Police claimed that the value of the recovered Charas/Cannabis hemp is about Rs 40 lakh in the International Market.
According to police, the accused was identified as Anil Kumar (37), a resident of Nand Nagri area. The team thus formed was working on an information about a well-organised syndicate and network of drug peddlers active in Delhi-NCR, who would bring the drugs from Nepal and would supply in the area of Delhi and NCR. "The accused was arrested on a basis of an information that the accused would come near Bus Stand, Nand Nagri," said police.
DCP (Crime) G Ram Gopal Naik stated that the possession of total "4.1 Kilograms of fine quality Charas" out of which 525 Grams of Charas was recovered from his right side pocket of his wearing lower of Tracksuit and 3.681 Kilograms Charas was recovered from the cavity of rear bumper of Santro car.
Accused Kumar came in the contact with one Ram Bahadur of Nepal who took Kumar to one Gopal Bahadur in Kistung Parlung City in Nepal. "He started drug peddling and he used to bring Charas from Nepal and started supplying in Delhi and its adjoining areas to earn fast buck/money, ," said the DCP.
