Man held for stabbing cousin to death in Rohini

New Delhi: A 20-year-old man was stabbed to death by his cousin in Rohini's Begampur area, for allegedly having an affair with the latter's sister-in-law.
Police on Saturday said that the accused, 26-year-old Neeraj has been arrested for murdering his cousin Akash.
According to police, Akash was already married, but his proximity with the wife of Neeraj's brother irked Neeraj.
Around 8.30 am on January 21, police received information about a dead body being found with multiple stab wounds in Begampur.
Cops identified the victim as Akash, a resident of Palam.
Soon, Rohini district police formed teams to investigate the murder nab the accused.
"Initially it was a blind murder case for us. However, analysis of the call records and local sources pointed to the involvement of Neeraj. He was soon arrested and questioned and he confessed to his crime," said a senior police officer on Saturday.
Sources said that Neeraj was agitated with Akash's involvement with his brother's wife and had reportedly warned Akash many times.
However, Akash failed to desist, forcing Neeraj to hatch a plan to eliminate his cousin.
On the intervening night of January 20 and 21, Neeraj called the unsuspecting Akash to talk.
When Akash arrived, he was stabbed multiple times with a sharp knife by Neeraj, and succumbed to his injuries.
Neeraj was arrested immediately after initial investigation, police said.
