Man held for killing wife in Dwarka village

New Delhi: The accused husband has been arrested from village Amberhai in Dwarka on Monday for strangulating his wife to death in front of their three chidren over suspicion of having an illicit relationship with a man.
"I told her not to do that but she never listened that's why I killed her," Shiv Balak Shah, the accused, told the investigator.
Police sources told Millennium Post that on the fateful night of October 14, the accused had a quarrel with his wife in which he had told her to stop her extramarital affairs.
The victim had three children who were sleeping but woke up after they heard them quarreling. One of the child saw the horrific scene of the mother been strangulated by the father.
"The child was frightened so much and he was too young that he was not able to object his father," said an investigator.
In morning after the murder came to limelight, the child in the statement claimed that he was awake when the mother was getting killed.
After getting the clue about the involvement of the husband, six teams were constituted in the supervision of SHO Dwarka Sec-23 police station and overall supervision of ACP (Dwarka) who arrested the accused from village-Amberhai in Dwarka area.
"One team was sent to the native village of accused, three teams were sent to the New Delhi, Old Delhi, and Anand Vihar Railway Station to locate and apprehend the accused. One team was sent to Faridabad, Haryana to his relative's place," Deputy Commissioner of Police (south-west) Shibesh Singh.
DCP added that the accused disclosed that he suspected that his wife was in the extra-marital relationship and had shifted to Delhi along with his family. He added that he again got suspicious about the activities of his wife. Following an altercation, he strangulated his wife.
