Man held for attempt to kill

New Delhi: A man involved in the attempt to murder after an altercation during Diwali was arrested by the south-west Delhi Police. The accused was arrested when he had come to Delhi to receive money from his family as he was planning to hide in Mumbai.
According to police, the accused identified as Anil Rana was arrested by the team of Inspector Raj Kumar.
The interrogation of accused Anil Rana revealed that along he along with his friends was throwing lighted crackers over one another. Meanwhile, one Rishiraj along with his friend Sandeep came to his house in his car to give sweets on Diwali. "At about 10:45 pm, when Rana and his friends were throwing crackers on other groups of people of the same village, an altercation took place with the victim Dinesh over the incident. He complained to Rishiraj that Dinesh was teasing him that he is afraid of crackers. He instigated them to teach Dinesh a lesson. On hearing this, Rishiraj and Sandeep came out of the car with pistols and fired in the air," police said.
DCP (south-west) Shibhesh Singh said that during the incident all friends of Dinesh fled the spot but Dinesh stay put there which instigated Rishiraj. Then Rishiraj and Sandeep shot Dinesh from a distance of 10-12 feet and one bullet struck Dinesh on his hip.
