Man, girl attempt suicide by jumping before train

In a serious incident, a 26-year-old man jumped in front of the train along with a 10-year-old-girl as the girl's parents objected to their closeness in Delhi's Narela on Monday.
The self proclaimed couple attemped suicide on the day of Raksha Bandhan.
Earlier, the people at the railway tracks confused them to be brother and sister but later the story changed once both of them got admitted to the hospital after their failed attempt.
Though the life of both of them was saved but the 26-year-old lost both his legs in the accident and the minor girl was admitted with a fracture.
The incident came to light in Rohini's Narela district when they both jumped in front of the train attempting suicide.
Soon, the people gathered at the spot and police was informed.
Both the local police and the GRP reached the spot and admitted the injured to the hospital.
Sources said that the two were in love and since the parents of the girl objected to their meeting, the boy lured the girl to commit suicide.
On Monday, they ran towards the railway track and as the train approached, they jumped in front of it. The impact of the accident was so severe that the boy lost both his legs and the girl suffered a fracture.
The incident has come as a shock to the residents of the area.
Both of them resided nearby and due to their closeness, the family of the girl sternly warned the boy against meeting the girl.
Enraged the boy lured the minor girl to take the drastic step.
Both of them was immediately admitted to the hospital where they are undergoing treatment.
The railway police is investigating the matter.
