Man found murdered in Greater Noida

Greater Noida: A 30-year-old man was found murdered at a secluded place near his house with his hands and feet tied with a rope in Dankaur area of Greater Noida on Tuesday morning.

According to police, the incident occurred when the deceased identified as Jagraj was sleeping at his house on Monday night.

"The body was first spotted by the family members of the victim on Tuesday morning when they woke up and didn't find him in the house. They further informed police about the incident and a police team reached the spot. The body was taken to custody which was later sent for post mortem examination," said Raj Pal Tomar, Station House officer, Dankaur police station. The officer further said that a case under relevant IPC sections has been registered in the matter. "Based on the complaint filed by victim's elder brother, a case under IPC section 302 (punishment for murder) has been registered against unidentified persons," said Tomar. "Prima facie investigations showed that the man was strangled to death and the body was dumped at a secluded place near his house however we are waiting for autopsy reports and further probe is going on," added Tomar.
