Man found hanging from tree at graveyard

Greater Noida: The body of a 27-year-old man was found hanging from a tree in sector Ecotech-III area of Greater Noida on Wednesday morning. Police officials said that the man was depressed over family feud amid which he took the extreme step.

According to police officials, the deceased has been identified as Sanju Jatav, native of Khairpur Gurjar village under Ecotech-III area and worked as an auto rickshaw driver.

"At around 8 am, we received a PCR call from a local person who spotted the body first. A police team rushed to the spot and found the man hanging with a tree at graveyard near the village. The body was taken to police custody and was sent for the post mortem examination and further investigations into the case are underway," said Piyush Kumar Singh, Circle Officer-III, Greater Noida.

The officer further said that the man was depressed over feud with his wife.

"Preliminary investigations into the case revealed that the man was under mental stress as he got separated to his wife around few months ago. The woman lived at her home in Vijay Nagar area of Ghaziabad since then. As of now, we have not received any complaint in the matter" added Kumar.

Meanwhile, victim's family members alleged that his in-laws have murdered him and then hanged his body with a tree to make it look like a suicide. However, police are waiting for autopsy reports to ascertain whether the man committed suicide or was murdered.
