Man dies in road accident at Yamuna Expressway

Greater Noida: The accident prone 165-km long Yamuna Expressway witnessed another fatal road accident on Thursday morning in which a youth lost his life while two other occupants of the car suffered severe injuries. This was yet another accident led by over speeding of the vehicle.
The driver of an over speeding Maruti Ertiga car lost his control over the vehicle and collided with the railing of the E-way and fell down on the road thrashing the railing. The locals alerted police and helped in rescuing the victims.
The incident occurred at around 5 am. The deceased has been identified as 25-years-old Simran Jeet Singh who was an engineer by profession. Singh was the only son of his mother while his father died few years ago. Among the injured persons were Wasim and Shivam.
According to an eye witness, the vehicle was driven at a very high speed. At zero point of the Yamuna Expressway in Greater Noida the driver somehow lost his control over the vehicle on the turn and collided with the railing. "The intensity of the collision was such that the car was damaged into pieces and fell off from the E-way" said the eye witness.
"The body of the deceased has been sent for the post mortem while the injured were admitted to the hospital where doctors declared one of them to be critical. The family members have been informed about the incident" said a senior police official.
