Man dies after his bike collides with nilgai

NEW DELHI: In a fatal accident, a 45-year-old man succumbed to injuries after his bike collided with a blue bull (nilgai) in Hiranki village area of Alipur in Delhi. The man has been identified as Ashok Kumar. He was taking his daughter to take exam when the incident happened. The collision was so harsh that Ashok Kumar fell from the bike and injured his head. The people soon gave a call to the police after the accident and took him to the hospital along with his daughter.
However, due to excessive bleeding Ashok kumar could not be saved. His daughter is still admitted to the hospital where she is undergoing treatment.
The incident happened on Friday morning. Ashok Kumar who works in South Extension in a private company was taking his daughter to appear for an exam when the blue bull that emerged from the nearby bushes came on the road. Sources said that Ashok Kumar was not able to control his bike and lost balance and collided with the blue bull.
"Though he wore a helmet but the collision was strong and he got serious injuries. He was rushed to the hospital but the doctors declared him brought dead," said a police officer. In the past too, the animals have caused serious accidents on the outskirts of the city where they come on the way and collide with motorists on the road. The two-wheelers are more affected than the four-wheeler vehicles.
