Man dies after being hit by unidentified vehicle

New Delhi: A man died after being hit by an unidentified vehicle in North West Delhi Shalimar Bagh area. Police claimed that they have not found any eyewitness in the incident.
The police are yet to arrest the accused in the case and are looking into the CCTV footage to ascertain the identity of the errant vehicle.
According to police, The deceased has been identified as Manoj Shrivastav, who used to run a Kirana store in Sant Nagar.
The incident was reported on October 5 after they received a PCR call about an incident when the police team reached the spot they found that the victim was lying and his motorcycle was found damaged after accident. The victim was rushed to a hospital where doctor declared him brought dead.
Police claimed that, the victim had left his store near Shalimar Bagh. He had left from Madhuban Chowk and were reaching the Mukbara Chowk when they climbed up an elevated road when he reportedly met with the accident.
"We are yet to trace the accused as we have found no eyewitnesses in the case. The investigation is underway," said DCP (North West) Milind Mahadeo Dumbere.
