Man crushed to death with stone

NEW DELHI: A 40-year-old man brutally hit with a stone multiple times until he died in New Delhi's Mother Teresa Crescent road on Tuesday morning.

The police received a call at around 8.30 am that a person is lying unconscious near RML Round About towards Mother Teresa Crescent road. On this, local police reached the spot and found one male dead body aged between 35 to 40 years having injuries on head and face and saturated in blood.

Later, deceased was identified as Chander Singh Rawat, a resident of Uttarakhand. He was having no residential address in Delhi and was a vagabond. A murder case was registered.

"During investigation one person named Vicky (also a vagabond), resident of Baljeet Nagar, was apprehended with blood stained clothes and blood stained stick. As per Vicky, he was sleeping on the patri when the deceased Chander Singh came and hit him with a stick and asked him to get up and leave the place for him. He reacted and hit him back with stones and stick," DCP New Delhi Madhur Verma said.
