Man arrested for woman techie's suicide in Noida

The Gautam Buddh Nagar Police on Thursday arrested the male friend of a 25-year-old woman software engineer who allegedly committed suicide by hanging at her rented accommodation in Sector 62 on Wednesday night, said police.

The woman, who hailed from Patna, decided to take the extreme step as the man she was in relationship for two years was marrying to some other girl instead of marrying her, the victim wrote in the suicide note.

"Following the complaint given by the family members of the deceased, we began our probe into the matter and arrested Ankush Gadotra, the man behind the suicide. The accused was arrested from his office in Sector 62, Noida. An FIR against him under relevant sections has been registered against him. A case under sections 306 IPC has also been registered against the parents of the accused who are on therun," said Anil Pratap Singh, station house officer, Sector 58 Police Station.
