Man arrested for murder over property dispute

NEW DELHI: Delhi Police Special Cell has arrested a man for murdering a man with whom his uncle had a a family dispute over a piece of land in Tughlakabad. The accused Harsh Chowdhary was declared a proclaimed offender by a Delhi court.

Accused Harsh Choudhary along with his father and other family members resides in village Kangar Mohalla, Tugalqabad, Delhi. His four uncles also resides in same village with his family members.

His uncle Subhash is the head of their joint family. Subhash and his other family members has a property dispute on a piece of land in Village Tuglaqabad with one Jitu who was also a resident of same village.

On June 8 last year, Jitu along with his family members came to the house of Subhash for settlement, but heated arguments started between both the parties.

Subhash and his other family members then attacked Jitu and his other family members with wooden sticks. Jitu suffered serious injuries and succumb to death.

Other family members of Jitu also suffered grievous injuries in the attack.

"Two uncles of Harsh, Jagat and Kartar along with three other relatives have already been arrested in this case and are running in judicial custody. Accused Harsh Choudhary, his father Gyanander, his uncle Subhash and his two sons Manish, and Jassa were absconding in the case and has been declared proclaimed offender in the case by the court," said PS Kushwah, DCP Special
