Man arrested for murder of cabbie
Greater Noida: Gautam Buddh Nagar police arrested a 20-year-old man on the charge of murdering a cabbie who was found dead in his taxi in sector 63 on Wednesday early morning. The arrested accused has been identified as Deepak alias Deepu, a native of Mamura village in Noida. His father works in Noida authority on contract basis. The accused has confessed that he along with his other three accomplices murdered the cabbie to save the honor of his family.
According to police, deepu along with his other three accomplices who are identified as Pankaj, Sandeep and Vikas(all native of Mamura) murdered the cabbie, Ajay and left him in his car near a building in sector 63 on Wednesday morning.
"The arrested man is the brother of cabbie's lover whom he had also married few months back. The other accomplices are on large and we are conducting searches at various suspected locations to nab them. We are also trying to find out the involvement of girl's father and her sister in the murder" said Rajiv Kumar Singh, circle officer, Noida.
Ajay was found murdered in his swift Dzire car and his body was found lying on the back seat of the car. Victim's family members also alleged that family members of his wife could be behind his murder.
