Man arrested for killing sister-in-law in north east Delhi

New Delhi: Two women were killed in separate incidents in north east and east Delhi, police said on Wednesday.
In the first case, a man was arrested for murdering his sister-in-law with an ice pick in north east Delhi's Welcome..
On March 14, at 7.20 am, a PCR call was received at Welcome police station, where a caller claimed his sister-in-law was found dead at their house.
Cops reached the spot and found the body of the girl lying on double bed in the house.
Inquiries revealed that her brother-in-law Ram Karan had made the call, but was missing.
Soon, cops began searching and apprehended him.
During sustained interrogation, he admitted that he had killed his sister-in-law after finding out that she was on the phone at midnight.
"He warned her not to chat with an unknown person, but she began arguing with him. He then struck her in the neck with an ice pick, strangulated her and then ran away with her mobile phone," said DCP (North East) AK Singla.
In another case, a woman was shot dead in east Delhi's Mandawali. Police said no arrests have been made in the case yet and investigation is on. The woman was identified as Jaiba Khan, who lived with her family in Mandawali area.
