Major reshuffle in Delhi Police

New Delhi: There was a major reshuffle in Delhi Police on Tuesday with senior IPS officers getting new portfolios. The Order reads that 1988-batch IPS officer Muktesh Chander on transfer from Goa will now be posted as Special CP (Operations).

Sunil Kumar Gautam (1989 batch IPS) presently posted as Special CP (operations) will now be Special CP (Training). 1990 batch IPS officer Sanjay Singh is the new Special CP (Law and Order) North. He was earlier posted as Special CP (Headquarters and Recruitment).

The order further reads that the Lt Governor is pleased to order the transfer/posting of IPS officers of Delhi Police as mentioned against each with immediate effect.

On Thursday, in a major reshuffle as many as 20 Arunachal Pradesh, Goa and Mizoram Union Territories (AGMUT) cadre IPS officers transferred to different states.

In another order, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Thursday issued transfer orders for 26 IAS officers. As per the transfer orders, six IAS officers have been moved to Delhi, whereas seven were transferred out of the Capital.

Earlier In a major transfer of IPS officers, Sandeep Goel who was posted as Special Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) in Delhi Police was transferred as Director General (Prisons).

According to the order, Ajay Kashyap (IPS 1985) who was posted as Director General (Prisons) was transferred as Director General (Home Guards).

JK Sharma earlier posted as Director General (Home Guards) will be seeing Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) as Director-General.
