Major bureaucratic reshuffle in Gautam Buddh Nagar, Ghaziabad

Both Gautam Buddh Nagar and Ghaziabad regions have undergone major bureaucratic reshuffle of IAS officers on Wednesday afternoon. The mass transfer of officials came a day after the second cabinet meeting chaired by the newly elected Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath.

Among those who have been reshuffled include Principal Secretary Infrastructure and industrial development Rama Raman who was holding the additional charge of NRI department. The chairman NOIDA has been replaced by Alok Sinha. Sinha, a UP cadre IAS officer of 1986 batch was the Commissioner of Meerut zone for two years.

Rama Raman has been put on the list of such officers who are waiting for a new posting. He was seen to be very powerful in the previous Akhilesh Yadav regime of Samajwadi Government.

Raman has been named several times for the transfer but the officer just switched to various departments and kept himself posted in Gautam Buddh Nagar for the past ten years.

Considered to be a prized posting, the Chief Executive Officer of Greater Noida and Noida authority, Deepak Agarwal, has also been divested of his position. Amit Mohan Prasad, Investment Commissioner of UP, posted in New Delhi, replaced Agarwal. Deepak Agarwal is yet to receive his new post. Talking about the Ghaziabad district, Vijay Yadav also held charge of Vice Chairman of Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) and has also been kept waiting. Yadav joined service as PCS officer in 1988. Before his elevation as GDA VC, Yadav has worked in more than 20 districts including Lucknow, Ghaziabad, Agra, Bulandshahr, Etawah, Gautam Buddh Nagar, etc.

Including these names, Adityanath has affected a major reshuffle of bureaucrats, transferring 20 senior IAS on Wednesday.
