Major bureaucratic reshuffle, in Delhi, Vijay Kumar Dev takes over as Chief Secretary

NEW DELHI: Delhi Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Vijay Kumar Dev on Tuesday took charge as Chief Secretary of Delhi by replacing Anshu Prakash, who was transferred as additional secretary to the department of telecommunication. The order appointing the 1987-batch IAS officer of the AGMUT (Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Mizoram and Union Territory) cadre was issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs last Thursday.

The Election Commission Of India has appointed the 1991-batch (AGMUT) IAS officer Ranbir Singh as Delhi Chief Electoral Office (CEO) in place of Vijay Kumar Dev.

According to Raj-Niwas notification, Delhi Lieutenant- Governor Anil Baijal carried out a major reshuffle of Delhi government bureaucrats such as 1986 IAS (AGMUT) Manoj Kumar Parida got transferred and posted as Chairman-cum-Managing Director of Delhi Financial Corporation, who was holding as additional Chief Secretary (Home) and additional charges of additional Chief Secretary (GAD and PWD).

Principal Secretary of Finance Renu Sharma is holding additional charges of Principal Secretary (Planning and Chief Nodal officer shall also hold the additional charge of Principal Secretary (Home) in place of Manoj Kumar Parida. Renu is 1988 batch IAS office of AGMUT cadre. Third major reshuffle has done that Rinku Dhugga, IAS 1994 batch is holding CMD of Delhi Finance Corporation and holding additional charges of Secretary (Art, Culture and Languages. Now, Duggal got transferred as Commissioner of Financial Corporation and also posted as Secretary Art, Culture & Languages.

Delhi Health and Family Welfare Secretary Sanjeev Khirwar has been assigned as the additional charge of Secretary in place of Manoj Kumar Parida. Varsh Joshi has been given additional charge of Secretary of General Administration Department (GAD), while Varsha is already holding charge of Secretary (Power) and additional charge Secretary -cum- Commissioner of Transport. Varsha is 1995 batch IAS officer. Delhi Jal Board Chief Executive Officer Anil Kumar Singh has been given additional charge of Secretary Environment & Forest.
