Liquor salesman shot dead for over charging beer by Rs 10
Greater Noida: Two men allegedly shot dead the salesman at a government liquor shop in Greater Noida after an argument broke out between them for over charging the beer by Rs 10 on Wednesday night.
According to police, the deceased identified as Kuldeep (25), a native of Bulandshahr, worked as salesman at a wine shop in Aechhar village near Building Material Market.
As per reports, the incident occurred around 9:45 pm when the two men arrived shop to buy wine. "An altercation broke out between Kuldeep and the two accused, identified as Surendra and Raju, following which one of the accused pulled a gun and fired three shots on Kuldeep with two bullets hitting him in chest and abdomen. The accused then fled away from the spot in a car," said Vineet Jaiswal, SP (rural), Gautam Buddh Nagar.
Cops said that the argument started as the salesman was charging Rs 10 more than the printed rate on the beer bottle.
"An Eyewitness told police that the duo of accused were inebriated and turned violent when there was a difference of Rs 10 in the rate of beer. Police team rushed to the spot after receiving the information and the victim was taken to nearby hospital in Kasna where he was declared brought dead. The body has been sent for the post mortem while we are checking for relevant CCTV footage," said Ajay Kumar, SHO of Kasna police station. The officer further said that the accused are absconding while an FIR has been registered.
