Lesson regarding ill-effects of alcohol soon for cops

New Delhi: A lesson on how alcohol affects the human body will be soon taught to Delhi Police personnel during the Police Week.
The Police Control Room (PCR) units of city police will be holding the session.
The city police also held a session of stress management for its personnel in which they were taught about how to remain cool and patience during the pressure situation.
Police sources told Millennium Post that around 200 police personnel have shown their interest in joining the session.
"It is their prerogative whether they wants to join the session or not. No pressure was given to them," said a senior police official.
Sources said they have received many leave applications from the police personnel regarding health issues.
However, in some cases, the senior officials have found that the alcohol problem was the reason behind their leave application, after which they thought about the session during police week.
Police have found that liquor has ill-effect on health and led to serious problems.
The city police will also hold yoga classes for their personnel. The effect of liquor on the habitual drinker will be taught by specialist and doctors during the session.
This lesson will help police personnel understand the short – and long – term effects that alcohol has on the mind and body.
Delhi Police held a stress management session for them in which senior doctors advised them as how to cope up with pressure.
Cops work for the safety of citizens twenty four-seven and are chances that they get depressed. This initiative is taken after several incidents of suicide and attempt to suicide in the police force.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Shahdara) Nupur Prasad said during the session the police personnel was taught about how to deal with the pressure and remained cool during the odd situation.
