Labourer dies in compressor blast

Greater Noida: A 22-year-old female labour was killed when a blast occurred at the compressor in a water plant in Surajpur area of Greater Noida on Tuesday. Police said that victim succumbed to injuries while being taken to the hospital.

According to police, the deceased has been identified as Tanu who worked as labour at the water plant.

"The incident was reported from S5 industrial area under Surajpur police station jurisdiction. A compressor of the plant blasted which resulted in the fatal incident. The victim was working in the factory who was trapped in the blast and was rushed to Sharda hospital in Greater Noida. However, she succumbed to injuries on the way to hospital," said Nishank Sharma, Circle Officer-1, Greater

The officer further said that they have not yet received any complaint in the matter.
