Kin protest against murder of siblings; two arrested

Noida: The family members of two brothers who were stabbed to death in Barola village of Sector 49 on Monday night blocked the Dadri-Surajpur-Chhalera (DSC) road on Tuesday. They staged a protest by putting the bodies on road and demanded the arrest of the accused people at the earliest.
Later in the day, the police arrested two accused in the murder of both the brothers from Bhaghpat area.
The deceased brothers Umesh Sharma (22) and Yogesh Sharma (24) were allegedly chased and stabbed by sharp knife by four people before dumping them into a drain on becoming lifeless.
"The duo of brothers was murdered by a family of four members including father, mother and their two sons on the pretext of an old personal enmity. The enmity was a result of a conflict during a cricket match couple of months back. We have arrested the father and one of the sons involved in the murder of both the brothers," said Vinay Prakash Singh, Station House Officer, Sector 49.
The arrested accused have been identified as Gulshan alias Gullu and his father Omkar. Those on large were identified as Jitendra and his mother Pushpa.
"A case has been registered and our investigations are on. Several teams have been formed to nab the culprits. Soon the other two accused, who are at
large, will be arrested by the police," said Arun Kumar Singh, Superintendent of Police, Noida.
