Kejriwal, Sisodia visit site

NEW DELHI: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his deputy Manish Sisodia went to the accident spot and blamed the BJP-ruled municipal corporation for the accident.
"Visited Ghazipur site. It's man-made disaster. Criminal. Mountains of garbage. Why doesn't MCD use modern technology to manage solid waste?" Kejriwal said in a tweet.
Delhi Congress President Ajay Maken expressed his deep concern for the victims' wellbeing, while slamming both the AAP Government in Delhi and the BJP-ruled MCDs, holding them responsible for the mishap.
He stated that this accident was totally avoidable if the concerned authorities had taken proper measures for an effective solid waste management in the city.
Delhi BJP President Manoj Tiwari has expressed concern & grief over the mishap causing fatal casualty at Ghazipur Landfill Site.
Tiwari has sought a immediate report from the Mayor of East Delhi Municipal Corporation Neema Bhagat and has asked the civic body to ensure proper relief for those injured.
Delhi Commission for Women Chairperson Swati Maliwal expressed concern for victims and demanded to register FIR against East Delhi Municipal Corporation for this man made disaster.
AAP MLA from Kondli, Manoj Kumar, also blamed the East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC), saying the civic body did not pay attention to the increasing height of the dumped waste at the site due to which the pile collapsed.
