IP university begins online admission for 33,000 seats

New Delhi: Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University has started the online admission process for 33,000 seats across 11 schools and 120 affiliated colleges for the 2019-20 academic sessions on Sunday.

From this year, two new programme, MSc( Yoga) and BSc ( Nursing) post basic are being started from this academic session, has been introduced in the affiliated colleges.

Admission to the course will be based on Common Entrance Test (CET).

Currently, the University has notified 57 combined academic programmes on its

websites www.ipu.ac.in. Admission to these will be on the basis of CETs.

Out of it, admission in the 39 programmes will be made on the basis of Common Entrance Tests (CETs) conducted by the University. There is no CET for six programmes — MBA( Weekend), LLM( Weekend), MBA( Disaster Management), M.Tech( ECE) Weekend, M Tech (CSE) Weekend and M Tech (Bio Technology).

Admission in these programmes will be made on the basis of marks in the last qualifying examinations, work experiences and the performance in the interview. Admission to M Tech (Bio – Technology) will be given on the basis of GATE

score.

Admission in some of the programmes will be made on the basis of National Level Tests. These programmes and their respective tests are as under are ; MBA through CAT 2018 score, MCA through NIMCET score, LLM regular through CLAT PG score; BA/BBA LLB through CLAT UG score; B Tech through JEEmain paper 1; Post Graduate Medical courses through NEET PG

2019 score; MBBS, BDS, BAMS and BHMS through NEET UG 2019 score; Post Graduate Ayurvedic Courses through AIAPGET 2019 score.

Like last year, this year too, the online application fee is Rs. 1,000 and applicable processing charges and taxes.
