Intolerable cruelty: Father shows no remorse after killing infant daughter

New Delhi: Rashid Zamal had no remorse even after killing her one and half-year-old daughter in Jamia Nagar area of south east Delhi.
According to police sources, the accused said that he was annoyed with his daughter crying all the time and did not want to spend money on her treatment.
Police sources told Millennium Post that during interrogation, he had shown no guilt even after killing his minor girl.
"She used to cry very much. I did not like it she used to remain ill and I don't want to spend money on it, this is what the accused told us," said an investigator.
Sources further claimed that the accused used to beat her wife and another four-year-old son after getting drunk.
Likewise, the accused beaten his minor daughter to death and threw her on the floor.
"Even after the brutal assault he thought she might be alive so he threw her daughter in the drain," said a police source.
After 56 hours of search by the team of Jamia Nagar police station led by SHO Sanjeev Kumar, they found the body of the minor girl in the drain.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (South East) Romil Baaniya said the incident came to light on September 19.
On receipt of a PCR call police team of Jamia Nagar reached Shram Vihar Jhuggi in Shaheen Bagh where complainant Ziyadul Miyan and Mofida Begum, wife of the accused Rashid, along with other local people met him and informed on enquiry that Rashid Zamal has kidnapped his own daughter and took her to an unknown place.
"Rashid Zamal was also found there in a drunken condition, who was beaten by the public. The enquiry has been made with him and he informed that he was in an inebriated condition and does not recollect much of last night incident," said the DCP.
Police claimed that fire brigade, NDRF's QRT teams divers were called to the spot and search of the girl was made by the divers in the nearby area and the drain, but no clue regarding the girl found.
Soon on the basis of the statement, the enquiry and circumstances case under section-363 IPC got registered at Jamia Nagar police station.
Accused Rashid Zamal, got arrested in the case and his one-day police custody obtained.
After the girl body was recovered accordingly, sections 302 and 201 of Indian Penal Code, was added in the case and the police investigation is in progress.
