Interstate coordination meeting: Focus on UP municipal election

New Delhi: Delhi Police will be now keeping a tab on the movement of criminals for the upcoming municipal election in Uttar Pradesh. Police sources claimed that list of criminals was shared in a meeting with the Uttar Pradesh Police.
Police sources claimed that in the recent held interstate coordination committee meeting between UP and Delhi police, there was the discussion about the upcoming election UP. Police claimed that the safety and security during the election were discussed.
"At the time of election we will be keeping a tab on the movement of criminals also border connecting to Uttar Pradesh will be heavily guarded," said Deputy Commissioner of Police (North-East) Ajit Kumar Singla.
Police claimed that the list of criminals who are most wanted in both the States was shared. The number of the criminals possibly more than 100. Police have investigated that criminals after committing crime went to other states to hide.
UP Police also shared the same situation. RP Meena, additional deputy commissioner of police (north-east) stated that joint pickets checking and patrolling at the border points and close surveillance, sharing of information and action against interstate gangs and criminals were also the point of discussion.
"The meeting helps us in getting proper coordination with UP police," said Meena.
