Inspired by TV show, two arrested in robbery case

New Delhi: Inspired by a TV show, two persons started snatching and theft but their luck failed soon as they were arrested by west Delhi police.
According to police, the accused were identified as Sachin Sachdeva (19) and Rajan Mishra (19).
They were involved in seven cases of crime and were arrested on the basis of an information that they would come towards Raghubir Nagar.
On their cursory search, four snatched mobile phones were recovered and after interrogation, two more stolen motorcycles were also recovered from their instance.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (west) Vijay Kumar said that on sustained interrogation, accused Sachin disclosed that he was a school dropout and intended to become rich by using shortcut scheme.
He was inspired by TV serial on a crime investigation wherein he got imbibed different criminal tactics for earning money expeditiously.
"He came into contact of Rajan Mishra through one of his relatives. Rajan Mishra is also a budding criminal and ambitious to become rich by ill means. They both formed a gang and started committing crimes to fulfill their dreams," said the DCP.
They also stole a Bajaj Discover bike to materialise their plans, the DCP added.
