Hotel management graduate turned gangster
New Delhi: A hotel management graduate who turned into a gangster was arrested from the area of Outer Delhi.
The investigating agency said that a cash reward of Rs 1 lakh was declared by Delhi Police on information leading to his arrest.
Police identified the accused as Sonu Jaat native of Rohtak in Haryana. He was nabbed near Mukundpur to Bhalswa Dairy Road on June 29. The accused had done hotel management from an institute in Inderlok.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (special cell) Pramod Kushwah in 2010, he along with his associates were arrested in the area of Shalimar Bagh police station when they attempted to commit robbery at one petrol pump in Shalimar Bagh area.
"After being released on bail he resumed his Hotel Management classes and simultaneously continued his criminal activities with is associates Monu Bajitpur and others. In the mean-time he completed his hotel management course," said DCP Special Cell.
The arrest was made by the team of ACP (special cell) Attar Singh.
Police said that on January 20 he along with Sukhinder, Nishant Bawana and Yavinder committed the murder of one Mohit in the area of Shalimar Bagh police station.
On February 1 he along with his associates committed murder of one Vikas as later was rival of Dushyant.
He has been absconding since then and continued his criminal activities with Monu Bajitpur.
In March, 2019, he was scheduled to meet Monu Bajitpur to plan and execute some heinous crime in Delhi but Monu Bajitpur was arrested.
In 2009, Sonu Jaat visited Bajitpur and came in contact with Monu Bajitpur, a close associate of Neeraj Bawana and is having rivalry with Happy Bajitpur, Ashok Pradhan and Rajesh Bawania.
Sonu Jaat developed friendship with Monu Bajitpur and with the passage of time they became good friends.
