Homebuyers in Noida, Gr Noida disappointed with budget

Noida/Greater Noida: The Union budget drew a mixed reaction from the homebuyers of Noida and Greater Noida as lakhs of them were expecting a stress fund to get stalled projects completed but got disappointed. However on other hand, new buyers were happy with a big tax benefit to homebuyers in the budget.

Both the associations of Homebuyers- Noida Extension Flat Owner's Welfare Association (NEFOWA) and Noida Extension Flat Owner's Main Association (NEFOMA), who have been fighting for the rights of lakhs of Homebuyers have expressed disappointment with the budget as none of their demands were met.

"We were assured by the government that they will help out the homebuyers by releasing a stress fund but that didn't happen. In this year's budget, the government has totally ruled out the interest of nearly six lakhs homebuyers who have been cheated by the fraudulent builders. The government only knows how to take votes and tax from the middle class people but not doing anything for them," said Indrish Gupta, Co-Founder, NEFOWA.

Anu Khan, Founder NEFOMA, also shared a similar reaction over the budget.

"Nearly 1.5 lakhs flats are still awaited for possession in Noida and Greater Noida and the already in lurch buyers have made nearly 95 per cent payments against these flats. During elections, we had meetings with Uttar Pradesh CM and other senior leaders who assured us for making a stress fund to get these stalled projects completed. However, nothing as such happened and we are totally disappointed with the budget," said Khan.
