Gurugram's oldest market to get a makeover

Gurugram: Often congested and chock a block with teeming hawkers and vehicles, the situation was much easier for commuters and the shoppers.

After the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) firm action on the shops that were encouraging encroachments in the busy area, most of the vendors who were illegally occupying the area were missing.

The action ensure ensured shoppers to navigate in the area where just a few days ago it was even difficult to walk. What was witnessed at the weekend can also become a regular affair with the MCG planning to do a makeover of the oldest market in the city?

To begin with, there are plans to completely free the area from the encroachments and create a special hi-tech zone for the vendors to dispense their business. There are also plans to make the entire area wifi enabled.
