Gurugram still not adept at monitoring air quality

Gurugram: While there are constant reports of city's air getting deteriorating due to pollution, it is still not adept to know about the levels of toxins inhaled by its citizens.
Even after many assurances, the city still has to contend with only one monitoring station that is been set up in Vikas Sadan.
Public officials, however, affirm that soon there will be eight monitoring station that will be set across Gurugram.
The areas where the monitoring stations are expected to come up are Manesar, Sadar area and areas of New Gurugram.
The absence of adequate number of monitoring stations has resulted in city residents still being dependent on the official figures of air quality recorded from Vikas Sadan.
Understanding the urgency of making citizens aware of the poor air quality of Gurugram there has also been private participation in recording the quality of air in the city.
On Friday, the data recorded from Vikas Sadan highlighted that particulate matter of 10 micros hovered in the range of 250-275, more than the safety levels of 100.
