Gurugram policewoman ends life, domestic dispute suspected

Gurugram: A woman police constable of Gurugram police, identified as Shakeela, allegedly committed suicide on Friday by hanging herself with the ceiling at the staff headquarters.
Sources said she was allegedly in depression for last few days following separation from her son. In a suicide note that was reportedly retrieved by police, the deceased blamed her in-laws for her to take this extreme step.
The woman constable who was staying alone in the headquarters had differences with her husband. The process of their legal separation was in process.
However, the decision by a local court to provide custody of her son to the husband led her to extreme depression that eventually led to taking her own life.
Meanwhile, the police have filed a case under relevant sections and begun investigations.
Last month, Inspector Sant Ram who was deputed as an ASI in Haryana police also committed suicide by hanging himself.
In March this year, Inspector Kuldeep Dahiya, who was an additional station house officer (SHO), at Sadar, shot himself with his service revolver.
'The deceased had retired from Indian Air Force and joined the Haryana police.
Domestic troubles had led to another death of a police officer, identified as 46-year-old Inspector Naresh Yadav.
Just like Inspector Sant Ram, he also was an ASI who was deputed in Faridabad.
Shockingly, he was murdered by his 21-year-okld son in his residence of DLF Phase-3 home after he was reprimanded to stop his criminal activities.
