Gurugram police continues drive on sexual crimes

Gurugram: After receiving favourable response from its earlier initiative of making school children aware of crimes registered under POSCO, the Gurugram police now extended it to making women employees also cognisant of crimes against them.
Inspector Poonam Singh, who is the SHO of the women police station, interacted with over 500 female workers, and appraised them about various crimes that ranged from molestation to even stalking. As there has been a massive increase in crimes against the women through digital, the women were also advised on how to rescue and face under such situations.
Last year, the city had witnessed a sharp increase in crimes against women in forms of molestation, stalking and physical assault. In a worrying trend this upward trend is witnessed not only on city streets but also through digital means.
